Best friend and why (can be a DAM or any other animal):
A little desert owl (a burrowing owl to be more precise - they are indeed more active during the day than at night) that acts as a scout to forewarn danger, they have a mutual symbiotic relationship in that Ravine finds food sources for the owl and herself in return for the scouting. She also can protect the bird from those that might prey on it such as snakes. Over time, what first started out as a simple convergence of interest in making their own lives easier, has developed into a close relationship with one another, kick-started by the respect they each earned towards the other's strong points. Whilst they generally do not speak to one another, they can understand at a glance everything the other has to say, thus words are not necessarily ever needed. This skill is simply a fruit of their long years together. |
